repeat c section
for the repeat c section girls - is anyone getting cold feet about the operation?
As my scheduled date gets closer I'm getting very scared to have elective surgury. I've had operations in the past, but this one is really getting to me...
Is everyone else OK with their decision?

Re: repeat c section
I am getting anxious for the recovery part. I remember the first few days feeling horrible. Now with 2 it will be even harder.

Re: repeat c section
My repeat c section is in 12 days and I'm definitely very anxious. I will have two under two and that makes me way more apprehensive for the recovery.

Re: repeat c section
I just had a repeat c/s and it was sort of unexpected. It was baby #3, and while I had a c/s with my first, I did have a vbac with #2 and was on target to go vaginally with #3 too. However, I had high blood pressure and protein in my urine and at 37 weeks, my OB just said since I had no progress at that point, they needed to do the c/s (couldn't induce since I had a prior c/s).
I was so freaked out! I knew what to expect, but having had a vaginal birth too, I knew it wasn't going to be easy. But in the end, everything worked out perfectly and it's a distant memory already! Keep your eye on the end result! Good Luck!

Re: repeat c section
Yes I'm very nervous mainly becaus I already have my dd. I'm very scared something bad would happen to me and I would leave my dd behind. I admit I cry thinking about it alot. I just have to pray I'll be ok. I'm not worried about recovery much because I had such an easy recovery with dd.

Re: repeat c section
Yes, I am definitely apprehensive about it. I even begged my doctor again to try a vbac, but he's against it and thinks I'm not a good candidate. I'm nervous, but there's no turning back now. Let's just hope for the best!

Re: repeat c section
I was SUPER nervous! I think part of it is b/c you have a DC at home already and worry about what will happen to them should something happen to you. The morning that I went in the have my repeat c, I could not get comfortable in the hospital....I finally calmed down once they gave me the spinal. After that, it was a breeze!
