I'm only 15 dpo and 721 is more than 6 times the average for a singleton pregnancy. At 15 dpo, the average Beta for TRIPLETS is 350. I'm at twice that! What the heck???? I did IUI and only had one follie so I'm just thinking I implanted early... right?
Also, a question: they scheduled me for a sono in 10 days. I'll only be 5w4d at that point. Will we see anything? I guess if I implanted early, I'll be more like 5w6d. Any chance for a heartbeat that early? I'm so excited, I don't know how I'll make it until then!
Yayyy! Congrats! I have no idea what the beta numbers mean and wouldn't take too much stock in them. All that matters is that it doubles!
As far as what you'll see at 5w, all we saw was a blob and the yolk sac. We heard and saw the heartbeat at 6w2d. Finally at 8 weeks we were able to see the shape of the baby.
i was pregnant with twins initially and first beta at 13dpo was 197 and second at 15dpo was 479. it was twins although only one matured past gestational sac. 700's is very high although if you only had one follie the chance of triplets is extremely slim. however twins are a bit more possible!! either way the fact that the number more than doubled in 48 hours is really whats important here. so congrats!
as far as implanting early, thats not really relevant here since your first beta was 285. that would only put you MAYBE one day ahead of your assumed implantation days. the rate of doubling doesnt have much to do with that since you have a first beta number that shows you implantated somewhere in the normal range. that also isnt entirely relevant for the sono. you will PROB see a heartbeat before 6w but not guaranteed. as long as they see a gestational sac and fetal pole at that point you should be good to go. you can usually expect to see the heartbeat at 6w+ so if you are close you might be able to see it!!
