Renting a Paint sprayer?
Has anyone used one? How are they to handle? We want to paint the exterior front of our house and I was wondering if this would be easier than using paint brushes and rollers.
Thank you!

Re: Renting a Paint sprayer?
DH and I bought the Wagner Paint Crew when we needed to paint the entire interior of our house. It was pretty easy to use and definitely sped up the painting process. The only thing that you have to be aware of is getting down the proper spraying technique so the paint doesn't pool and drip down the wall.

Re: Renting a Paint sprayer?
I personally would rent the "professional" sprayer. I used several wagner sprayers ranging from $150 to $300 . They all kept clogging with paint. So annoying. You have to take them apart, wash each tiny part, etc.. I returned all of them to the store.
I wish I had just rented the professional one.

I disagree, we purchased the Wagner paint crew airless and it was great.... used BM paints and had no problems.... Painted the entire interior of the house...........Image Attachment(s):

No offence but how can you disagree on my experience?
I bought several of them at Home Depot. I kept returning them for a "better" model each time. I used them with the Behr paint. They would clog after about 20 minutes. Then I could clean them, then repeat the process.
I also have a couple of friends telling me they had the same issue.
I am glad you did not have any issues. I was just sharing my OWN experience with them and that I would now rent a professional one.

I was disagreeing with your recommendation to rent..... The airless that I purchased is the same basic product that you would rent, without the 100,000,000 gallons of paint already being sprayed through it.
