Removing UV Gel...
I am tired of doing the UV gel... as beautiful as it is and i love love love the way my nails look, i need to take a break.
Anyway, what is the best way to have them removed? i have not been to the nail salon in 3 weeks, and i ripped off two nails (they were peeling off) but my other 8 nails are in PERFECT condition. should i go to the nail salon or can i do it myself? Also, if i do go to the salon, do u know if they charge you to have them removed?
TIA

Re: Removing UV Gel...
Soak with acetone...the kind the salon would use. You can pick that up yourself..a bottle of it. Harmon or Ulta.
Soak as long as you can so that the come off completely. I always tried peeling them off and left my nails in some not so great condition!
GL!
ETA: I think I confused on which kind these are but if there are the tips.....best to try the salon. Very difficult to get off.

Agreed w/the PP -- something you can totally do at home.
Soak them for at LEAST an hour in acetone, and then go to the nail salon, where they'll most likely buff them down.

I am doing the same thing now - I think I'm just goin to let them grow out and then buff them in to my regular nail...

Oh god please go to the salon. I HATE doing that, I have soaked for over an hour and STILL needed to go to the salon LOL they charge me $5 in addition to a regular manicure price. It is SUCH a pain and when they do it, I soak for about 20 minutes and then TWO girls take off the GLOP that is left behind.
