removing camera icon from a locked screen on iphone 4s
Does anyone know how to do this? I am tired of seeing pictures of my floor, half ds's head, etc. because he finds my phone and that is the only thing he can get into when it is locked. The other day he wore my battery out because the video camera was on for 45 minutes recording my couch! I know the easy thing would be to keep my phone out of reach but easier said than done LOL!

strange because when my phone is locked, the camera does nothing. there must be a way to lock the feature (and I havent figured out how to unlock it?) I see the icon but it wont work.

did you try slidding up. Thats how it unlocks on my phone

On my phone the camera icon is there when the phone is locked. It doesn't show actual pictures though...just a pic of a little camera.

I put a password on my phone and the camera doesn't show up on the locked screen.

The camera icon is there when you hit the home button before you slide it to get to the password. Then you have to slide your finger up on the camera button to go to camera not just tap the camera icon.
I don't think you can remove it

ahhhhh now i got it! I was tapping it! the upwards slide worked

Go to:
General-->Settings--> Restrictions.
Turn off the camera.
Done.

Her problem is she has the OS that has the camera icon on the lock screen. The camera works even if the phone is locked.

I thought mine wasn't working for the longest time. Then dh said you have to slide it. I was like "ohhhhh I get it now" haha. Before the update it was just tap it hahah
