Hi actually this is exactly where me and my husband were thinking about relocating....is it hard to find work? My husband is a Union Steamfitter (pipefitter) and im wondering how difficult it would be for him to find the same kind of work? We really want to enjoy our life and after much research we have come to realize that we will never get ahead in the US the way healthcare is, and the cost of living....we really want to be able to enjoy our life...how long ago did you relocate..?

I sent you an FM. Unless you are British or from an EU Country, you would struggle to get a work permit. Also, the cost of living here (depending on where you live) is high and salaries are not as high as they are in the US. Healthcare is not a good reason to move to the UK. I am sorry to tell you that. Housing is incredibly expensive and getting a foot onto the housing market is amazingly difficult right now.
