Relief effort for Haiti

I don't know many people know of the small country of Haiti. Its a third world country hit by the huriccanes over the past few weeks. I would really like to bring attention to the situation because its very serious. Children are homeless, and hungry. They don't even have shoes. I cry just thinking about it If you can help in any way it would be great. Here are a few things that can be useful:
Water
Baby food, formula
Milk—powdered, canned or long-life
Drinking water
Canned Food
Corn Flour
Beans
Rice
Vegetable oil
Sugar

(Medical/Health supplies)
Anti-diarrhea
Anti-decongestants
antipyretics (to lower fever)
Pain relievers: aspirin, etc
Cotton balls, pads
Distilled water
Soaps
Disinfectants: alcohol, ointments
Bandages, gauze
Disinfectants: alcohol, hydrogen peroxide
Rehydration salts
Insect Repellent

Clothing for adults & children
Disposable diapers
Protective gear such as heavy gloves, rubber boots, face masks, goggles, etc.
Shelter/Equipment

Flashlights, lanterns with batteries.
Tarps, tents. plastic sheeting
Cots & folding beds
Cooking utensils & dishes (metal or plastic)
Can Openers!!
Portable (gas) stoves, grills
Blankets, sheets, sleeping bags
Soaps
Detergents
Chlorine bleach
Mosquito Repellent
