regular crib or conversion crib??

Any advice on buying a crib - we are going to be looking soon and I am torn if we should get a regular crib or one that converts - any help/advice? thanks

we got a convertible crib so we can have the option to use it as a bed down the line. my only advice if you get a convertible crib is to get one that has a drop side. ours has a stationary rail in the front and it's kind of a pain once you drop the mattress. also, most crib toys and mobiles won't fit on our crib since the rails are so wide and thick.
