Registry Stroller/Car Seat Question
Did you register for just an infant car seat OR did you also register for the booster seat for when the baby gets older?
AND did you register for only an infant stroller? OR did you also register for an Umbrella Stroller?
Thanks ladies!

Re: Registry Stroller/Car Seat Question
I registered for the infant and convertible seat and then only the city mini stroller.
I did not get the bigger car seat and figure I'll buy it when we need it so I don't have to find a place to store it and they will probably have new models out when I need it.
Umbrella strollers are cheap so I figure I could buy that myself when it is needed

Re: Registry Stroller/Car Seat Question
I registered for the infant and convertible carseat - not a booster since it's going to be awhile until DS can use it (he's 2).
For strollers, I registered for a Snap N Go and a Maclaren umbrella (probably would've registered for the City Mini though in hindsight and the Snap N Go).

Re: Registry Stroller/Car Seat Question
Okay... there is an infant seat, a convertible seat and a booster seat...all different things.
Infant seat is for around newborn-12 months depending on the weight and height of the kid and your ability to carry the kid around in that thing
Convertible seat is from 5-40/50lbs depending on the seat and usually people do the infant seat first then switch the kid to the convertible from anywhere from 5months-1year. That seat lasts a few years. A booster isn't needed until much, much later so I'd register for an infant and a convertible seat.
As for the strollers you have many options. The most popular is the snap and go stroller, it's just a stroller frame that your infant seat snaps into. Lightweight and easy because you don't have to take the kid out of the seat thus not waking them up. But once the kid is out of the infant seat you will need another stroller either a full size or an umbrella which is lightweight.
You can do a regular size stroller with an attachment sold separate to put the infant seat in or a travel stroller that has the option of snapping a car seat into but they are heavier/bulky strollers. If you did this you may want to also register for an umbrella for later use after the infant seat.

Re: Registry Stroller/Car Seat Question
I registered for a travel system stroller that has the infant carrier/car seat. DH will also have a a convertible car seat in his car that will serve the baby for a while to come.
The travel system stroller will also serve the baby for a while to come as the carrier portion comes out.
In addition, we also registered for a light weight stroller.

Re: Registry Stroller/Car Seat Question
I registered for the Graco SnugRide 35 car seat.
We purchased the UPPA Baby Vista stroller with the Graco car seat adaptor so it works like a travel system.
Once baby grows out of car seat #1 she will be in the Britax Marathon 70 which I also registered for.
We are going to buy the umbrella stroller ourselves later on.

Re: Registry Stroller/Car Seat Question
I only registered for the infant seat (chicco keyfit 30) and not a convertible bc baby bargains said to wait on that. Now I'm thinking maybe I should. One less thing to spend money on when it's needed.
I also reg for a chicco snap n go type of stroller for the infant seat and a city mini for when child is bigger.

Re: Registry Stroller/Car Seat Question
Back when I registered we only had the Infant Car Seat (+1 extra base) & Snap & Go Stroller on there.
We don't have a lot of room for storage in our house, so DH & I bought a Maclaren stroller & the convertible seats when we were ready to use them.

Re: Registry Stroller/Car Seat Question
We only registered for an infant seat. My SIL is letting us borrow her Snap n Go.
We didn't register for anything a toddler might need.

Re: Registry Stroller/Car Seat Question
I strongly recommend that you register for a convertable carseat. I thought a baby actually stayed inthe infant seat until 30 lbs. Yeah right! We moved the boys to the convert seats around 7mo. Those suckers are expensive!!!!!!!!!! Def put it on the registry. Also, the Snap and Go is a lifesaver, but that too, doesn't last long. Definitely register for a regular stroller too (not an umbrella stroller). We switched the boys to the regular stroller around 6mo----they liked to look around and didn't want to be stuck in the infant seats.
TRUST ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some people told me not to register for these things and I completely regretted it.
ETA: The booster carseat is used AFTER the convert seats. Yup, there are 3 different car seats and they are ALL expensive!

Re: Registry Stroller/Car Seat Question
This is all so overwhelming! As soon as I think I have a handle on it I realize I dont! LOL
Ok so I want to register for the Britax B Ready stroller, with the Britax B Safe infant car seat... I will register for a convertible car seat as well.
BUT Since the Britax has so many seating options (14 apparently) do I need to register for the 2nd stroller, which would be the City Mini stroller? or no? Im confused about this. I read the City Mini is great because its light weight and easy to use... So is it different then the Britax for when the baby outgrows the infant seat?

I wouldn't register for both the Britax stroller and the City Mini. I'd pick one. The Britax is heavier but nice if you are planning on having a second kid in the next 1-3 years because it becomes a double stroller. You will need a car seat adapter for either stroller so just remember to register for that too.

Re: Registry Stroller/Car Seat Question
I registered for the infant and the convertible, people were saying there wasn't enough on my registry although I had 100+ items. I ended up receiving both and returning the convertible for credit.

Don't be sorry, it's super confusing lol. A snap and go will only last 6-12 months tops. The Britax that you picked will last until they are out of the stroller...like 2-3yrs plus depending on the child plus that particular Britax and the City Select are both single and double strollers. So if you have another, you can have the kid in the infant seat PLUS the kid in the regular seat at the same time. We just got the City Select version of the Britax you registered for because I have a 17 month old and baby coming, so both can go into it. That's a big plus with the one you picked out, it's very versitile in that aspect. It is a bit heavier so if you aren't planning on having 2 or they may be far apart or you could a double down the line and you want a lightweight stroller than I would go with the City Mini and just register for the car seat adapter for your particular infant seat. It is a lightweight stroller and a lot of ladies say that they don't need the umbrella if they have the city mini.
