Registry question - is this strange???

Now that I know my shower is on Sun, Mar 18 - thats next weekend.

Nothing is off my registry.

Isn't that strange???

and nah...people unfortunately wait till the LAST min to purchase things so im sure things will fly off soon.

Also, some people choose not to purchase off the registry....its easier at times to buy baby clothes (which is nice).

are you sure the invites included info about where you were registered?

If they did, then I'm sure it's just that people are waiting til this weekend to shop.

I dont think so, most people wait until the last minute to shop for shower gifts, unless they are in the store where you are registered on their own business. Another possibility is that your friends and family may have bought off your registry.

Give it a few more days before you start wondering too much.

Could be that they bought them, but didn't mention it was on a registry. Or that no one cares what YOU want and just bought you whatever.

Some places, like BBB, take 24 hours for things bought to show up.

I wouldn't worry TOO much. Many people are last minute shoppers.

My shower is the same day as yours and there are still some "important" things, like car seat, stroller, high chair, sheets, monitor, and crib mattress that have not been purchased.

Have faith that people are last minute shoppers!

For my bridal shower, my MIL & SIL bought my gift the DAY before my shower!!

Yeah, alot of people go the days before. And with mine, BRU never took about 10 items off mine that had been purchased!

I would worry about, especially since the shower is on a Sunday. People will be shopping on Saturday (I am guilty of doing this myself) and probably everything will come off then.

My mom said to me recently that she thinks people don't like baby registries and just buy what they want for baby showers anyway

Did you register at BRU? Because I did and I thought the same thing, but what I didn't realize was that once something is purchased it is taken off and moved all the way to the bottom of the list under "Purchased Items." I was just looking at the number next to where it said amount requested and amount purchased. I had so many things on my registry I didn't even notice things were missing!!!

mine had some things off--but most was like the week of...

remember--u found out the date too-they might have changed it on u!

People really do wait until the last minute or...

you could have an aunt like mine who "Doesn't believe in registries". Now I have four sets of crib bedding.

Some people will also just get you gift cards. You can use them if you don't get everything you need right away or for items at a later developmental stage.

You could be getting a lot of gift cards, OR the people at BRU may not be updating your registry as people buy things OR you have people who do not "believe in" registries OR people are not shopping yet.

mine is on the same day and only have 16 things off of mine!! i am worried but i going to stop checking bc it is stressing me out!!!

Mine was this past weeknd, and although some people shopped REALLY early....a lot didn't come off of it til the week before. I also had a few people who don't believe in registries so I got some random things that I don't think I will ever use!

We don't know the sex of the baby yet either and we got a TON of green and yellow clothes, and a tone of white onesies. I was able to return a lot of stuff to BRU for a credit. ( i got 4 of the same green outfits!!)

ETA: I ended up getting every single big thing that we registered for and most of the smaller things too so try not to stress it too much.

sorry to crash, but my mom is infamous for not giving the cashier the registry, so nothing she bought comes off. you could have a family of these.

Thanks ladies - I hate to sound like a nervous ninny... but I am beginning to freak out about how we are going to afford some of this stuff - any little bit would help - even 1 stroller!!!

or maybe they are buying gift cards. some people are lazy and don't want to shop.
