Registry Help!!

I posted this in Parenting too but it's probably better here.

DH and I are registering on Monday. I'm completely on information overload between Baby Bargains and just general research.

I need some help please. Can you let me know the differences and SPECIFIC product recommendations for the following:

~Rock N Play - this is for sleep and nap right?

~Swing - stationary and large. For napping, hanging out?

~What's the difference between an exersaucer and jumper?

~What's a bouncer for?

I've heard no on walkers for safety reasons correct?

I'd also love specific recommendations for pack n play, high chair, and baby monitor.

I plan on registering for a lot because I'm having a decent size shower. I figure we can always return things later on when we figure out what works/baby doesn't care for, etc.

TIA!!

Re: Registry Help!!

~Rock N Play - this is for sleep and nap right? YES

~Swing - stationary and large. For napping, hanging out? YES- and sleeping at night if baby is colicky. Get one that plugs in. You will blow through batteries if it doesnt plug in.

Exersaucer wobbles. The jumper bounces. We have both. If you dont have space just get one. Baby Einstein neptune exer is fun.

Bouncer: Hanging out or napping. **Good if baby has reflux. We got a plain one but they got bored so I also got the FP rainforest that plays music and lights and keeps their attn more. We feed them in it now.

I think no walkers if you have steps. Our house is too small so we dont have one.

I'd also love specific recommendations for pack n play, high chair, and baby monitor.
**we got space saver high chairs and we have the motorola video and so far so good.

We returned as we went along. They are 5.5 mo and we are still exchanging.

Oh and we got a crib mobile that just plays music and matches their room but from what I heard the Tiny love mobile is the way to go.

Oh and the summer infant seat is fun too.

Re: Registry Help!!

agree with the PP... RNP is all my DS would sleep in during the first few weeks as he hated his bassinet. As far as the walker, check out the Bright Stars "Around we Go", its basically a walker attached to an activity table so they don't go all over the place, DS is 7 months and loves this thing.

I don't know if I'd recommend my monitor since it died after 6 months (Summer Infant Sleek & Secure Multiview).

Have not used my PNP yet actually... it is graco though and we use a graco high chair too.

You will definitely be making multiple trips though to return/exchange things.

Good luck!!
