Registry- Formula
Have any of you girls added formula to your registry? I was thinking this may be a good idea but have no idea which one to add.
Help!

Registry- Formula
Usually they advise against this due to product expiration dates and you're not sure which formula your LO will end up eating. So you might get 4 containers of a type your baby won't tolerate and you have to switch.
Plus it is very difficult to return at a lot of places if you don't have a receipt.

This and you are not allowed to return formula at most if not all places. It's a health issue. I wouldn't register for that but maybe put on your registry that you would like gift cards so you can go buy some when you are ready for it.

Registry- Formula
I thought about it but didn't because of expiration dates and not knowing which one our LO will be able to take. Similac sent us HUGE samples though so maybe go on their website and see if you can get those sent to you too. I don't remember requesting them but it couldn't hurt. And you might be able to send them to your parents and whoever else address just to get some cans.
I did register for diapers and wipes though. DEF put those on.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't sure if I should put it on. Just a thought. I'm a new time mom and not sure what I should put on the registry!!

That's true--if you plan on FF, register at Enfamil, Similac, Gerber...they will definitely send you samples and coupons.
Then when you decide which formula you're using contact the company again and ask them for more. They will at the very least send you additional coupons.

Re: Registry- Formula
Definitely do not register for formula. Aside from worry about expiration dates, you have no idea what kind of formula the baby will be on.
My DS ended up having a milk protein allergy so he had to be on specific formula for that. It's best to wait and just sign up on all of the formula websites for checks and definitely take all the samples you can if they provide them at your OB's office and take a TON when you leave the hospital.

No problem! I'm a first time mom too and just learning as I go along. Honestly when I registered I went through the list the stores gave me...looked at my friends/family that just had/is pregnant to compare lists...and went on thebump.com to see what they recommended too. Comparing my list to friends/family was a HUGE help!!! I registered for whatever item I liked but when I saw like "teething ring" I went and added it, usually not the exact one.

Similac and enfamil both have a program you can sign up for and they wil send you some free sample and also coupons I would do that and see which your child prefers then buy the formula on your own Also when you decide which brand to use check the pediatricians office they have coupons for a free case or nursettes
