Registry- Bottles
DH and I are planning on registering in the next week or two. I was thinking of bottles and which I plan on using. I think we're going to go with Avent. But how many of each size do you register for? 1? 2? 3? How many nipples and what sizes?

Re: Registry- Bottles
JMO but Best advice......Don't register for a lot b/c you never know which ones will like. My SIL went through 7 different brands before finding one my nephew liked. I returned the ones I put on my registry and got a couple of single ones of Playtex Ventaire and Dr. Browns for when I bottle feed(I am trying nursing first). HTH......

Thank you! So do you think I should register for just like 1 or 2 of each brand, then return what doesn't work? I never thought the baby might not like certain ones.

Re: Registry- Bottles
my sister recommended that I get one of each size to start off with, in case he/she hates them....
1-8oz (came with 3 bottles) 1- 4oz ( came with 3 bottles)
then i got 2 packages of the bottles that come with my breast pump
ETA: I did playtex drop ins.

I am planning to use Playtex drop ins too. Several people I know swear that Avent leaks and is horrible...

Re: Registry- Bottles
You should definitely try different brands. I started off with Avent and was really liking them but my DS dribbles quite a bit so I thought maybe the flow was too fast for him ( oh, and they do leak sometimes, you just have to make sure you tighten the neck well). Then I tried Dr. Brown's and my DS actually was really gassy and I didn't like them. Now I'm trying Born Free. These seem to be working better for him. I am finding that 4 bottles is enough to start with. I formula feed and so I need to make sure I have bottles ready to go. HTH.

I agree. Register for the smaller bottles, smaller sets for 3 different brands. Although bottles aren't cheap, once you find the ones you like, you can buy them on your own or use GC.
