Registering without a shower...

Do you think it would be stupid for me to register even though we're not having a baby shower? My MIL and SIL asked if we were registered and we said no, that we only signed up for a registry for BRU just to get the coupons. Do you think it would be a good idea to go ahead and register for the few stuff that we are going to need with the new baby or just go ahead and get it ourselves? Thanks!

We registered and I knew I wasnt having a shower. I registered because my coworkers and some close friends kept telling me to so they could buy stuff that they knew we wanted. I also did it because I was able to look up the ratings on certain things and pick what we felt was best for us and the new baby. So I say, register. We bought the majority of stuff ourselves but at least we knew what we needed also, it was a great way of keeping track of everything. Have fun!

I would definitely register. In Judaism, baby showers traditionally are not held, but everyone I know has registered. That way, when people go to buy baby gifts after the baby is born, they can get you the things that you want and need.

I don't know if anyone will even look at the registry, but it's probably good for me to keep a list of what we need anyway!

I think I'll be registering soon! I guess I should of done it sooner considering I only have 5.5 weeks left!
