Registering... where to begin?
I've done some research (we decided on a stroller) and read the new Baby Bargains cover to cover. I'd like to start registering but don't know how to begin. Is it best to sit down the BB and a list and add the big ticket items online and then go to the store and add the rest? How did you decide where to register and how many stores to choose? My head is spinning! I'm afraid if I go into the store I will just start scanning whatever is cute

Re: Registering... where to begin?
What I did was went to the store with DH and took a tour and kinda browsed. Then we went back a week later and registered for all the ig stuff, strollers, car seats, bath tub, garbage pail, playpen, high chair, bouncy.. stuff like that. Make sure u go on a weekday eve.. its so quiet in those stores and its the best way to do things without feeling rushed. After I got done with all the big stuff I did the rest of the tweaking and adjusting online.
Good luck!!!

Re: Registering... where to begin?
have in mind what your big ticket items are before you get to the store...it helps a lot if you kinda know what your looking for. also if you have a BTDT mom that would go with you bring her!! it def helps to bring someone who knows what you will need and what you wont.

Re: Registering... where to begin?
We went and had the baby bargins book with us. We added the big ticket items we wanted and then scanned whatever we wanted and I went back through it online. We have been a few times already and always felt overwhlemed. Now I feel like I dont have everything on there that I need.

Re: Registering... where to begin?
i went through baby bargains and wrote down the big ticket items i wanted (car seat, stroller, infant carrier, baby monitor, high chair). then we went aisle by aisle so we wouldnt miss anything and i scanned the big ticket items as i came across them. the smaller stuff we just picked there on the spot. we were done in under 2 hours

Re: Registering... where to begin?
I have always registered at 1 store. Just felt it was easier for me and my family/friends.
Then I sat down with the BB book and wrote down the "big ticket" items I was considering. Went to the store and looked/test drove them. Then scanned the one I finally decided on.
Little stuff you can always add from the comfort of your couch, that's what I did

Re: Registering... where to begin?
we only registered at one store to keep it easy. i read through the baby bargains book and took notes/made lists of the big items. then DH and i went to the store and picked out the bigger items. i went back to the store the next day by myself to register for all the smaller stuff that DH wasn't really interested in. i wanted to make it easy for him... and i prefer shopping by myself lol. i've also added some things online too after realizing i forgot about them.

this. I'm registering saturday with my sisters (NOT dh) at BBB. I've been making a list of big ticket stuff gradually based on BB and BTDT mom advice. I've also added stuff to amazon just to have it somewhere, and organized (mostly books and littler items) that way at least I can buy stuff after the fact and use the 10% completion coupon.
it IS totally overwhelming, but remember if you don't get everything then you can always add off the website.
