Redoing my bedroom .... need design help

Ok, I love my furniture, its a dark reddish wood with black in it. Its gorgeous. However, I never got a bed/headboard b/c we knew we'd be upgrading to a king.

So, now I love this bed....

I wanted to do brown/blue or even blue/grey/ivory. I need my room to be a retreat - not the disaster it is now. My only issue is that the bed is an online exclusive and the lightest material is oatmeal.....

I feel like my taste is all over the place - I like 1 and 3 best but don't feel like they go with the bed.

I'm so bad at this - HELP!!!!!!!

If your furniture is a dark cherry with black, why don't you buy a darker headboard? They have darker colors on the site.

what if you get #1 in the brown



, paint the walls a blue that is in the bedding?



or paint the walls a warmer ivory and accessorize then with cream, brown and blue?

i love the bed! but only #2's bedding would actually work with the oatmeal color. I do love the the other bedding sets as well. I believe IKEA has a headboard like that and it comes in white. if you wanted to do bedding 1 and 3 you would need to do a white, or darker color. the oatmeal just doesn't work

What if you get the bed in the natural, so that if you want to change it out later on, your not stuck trying to match bed fabric?

Otherwise, I agree with Jen, to go with the dark bed.

if you go with #1 in the blue I would paint the walls a warm brown, like a mocha color, bring in a chocolate area rug and throw instead.

Love your ideas, exactly where I am trying to go with my master. I think I like bedding #3 best. I am looking at the same bed frame for my master, and am thinking of the ivory silk, which seems lighter than the oatmeal. We are also going to do the black furniture when I get around to it. We painted the walls a light gray color- so our combo is the gray/black/ivory look when done.
