Recurring hemorrhoids post partum?
Anyone dealing with this?
I had them during pregnancy, and AWFUL PP...but they went away. 10 months later, they're back. Are we just more likely to get them now that we've had them?
They're not unbearable and I think they're going away...but still, I'm all paranoid. Has anyone had to have surgery?

Once you get them, unfortunatly they never go away. You just have to take steps to make sure they stay unbothered so to speak. I had trouble and my Dr. wanted to do some "ligation " thing with a rubber band, I talked to a few people who said dont do it, and so far I have been ok, I just know I will be dealign with them for life...but its managable.
Fiber...And while your dealing with it, Sitzs baths are a must. Also your Dr. Can prescribe a cream for swellign thats MUCH stronger/better then OTC. I would 100% reccomend gettign something fromt he Dr.

Really? I was never told this. I had a small one PP and it definitely went away - the nurse said it would take about 2 weeks, I think it took 3.
I totally agree about the fiber though... and using something gentler, like baby wipes instead of regular toilet paper, works really well too

By "go away" ..I mean it is always there, it just shrinks back into "place" ...and you can take steps to avoid it swelling and reoccurring, or prolapsing. and you can never get a reoccurence or a prolapse...but you have a higher chance of it once it has become a problem....I usually go right to the colon/rectal surgeon the second I feel anything "odd" going on( lol
) and get some heavy duty meds for it.

I always have a high fiber diet...so I'm not quite sure why this is happening. Could've been due to my lovely stomach flu from two weeks ago.
