Recreation activities?

What do you like to do on Long Island (or would you like to do if you had the time?)
What would you do more often if you could live somewhere else?

Camping/hiking/biking in the County and State parks.

If I lived in another state, I'd love to have a lot more property and get some quads, to ride in the trails in the woods (or be near property where you could ride off-road vehicles).
This manually moving my body around, either by walking or biking, is getting harder each year...

I love horseback riding and don't do it often enough. We used to do a lot of camping and we try to do random fun activities- kayaking in the Hudson, paddleboarding or whale watching in Rockaway, laser tag, rock climbing, those rope adventure courses. We also do a lot of those fun run 5ks- the color run, the ridiculous obstacle course race, the insane inflatable 5k- they're always a good time, plus it's sneaky exercise. It's hard with a one year old! I can't wait to get back into doing more stuff!

In the summer I am all about the beaches.

If I lived in another state I'd love to live near the ocean. I would be so much more fit. I'd walk every day on the beach.

The beach! I love going to the beachhhhh. Also, hikes and exploring LI.

Kayak.

We do this every year when we go camping in PA. DH and I love it. We usually borrow my brother and SIL's kayaks, but now that we're buying a house hopefully we can get some of our own and go check out some places around here.
