recommendations for someone to take down load bearing wall please

We've been in our house for a little over a year. We have a split. Downstairs we have 2 rooms that I refer to as the dungeon.... just too small and stuffy. I wanton knock the wall down between the room. I got 2 estimates last year that ranged from $2700 and $6000. Looking for someone licensed and insured who does good work and not way expensive. Any reccomendations? Thanks.

I think the expense is going to come from replacing that wall with load bearing beam.
