Recommend your small digital camera
Looking for a slim digital camera. I had the Nicon Coolpic 25200, which I LOVED besides some drawbacks.... too long between pics and sometimes lens would get stuck.
Got it a couple of years ago and even though there were some issues I loved the pics I got and loved playing with the colors in the camera... making certain colors pop out while the rest black and white.
I am not a camera expert at all so something nice and simple that's slim and takes great pics with some cool features.
DH got me the new Coolpix at Costco, but it's a bit bulkier bc it comes with some stupid thing for selfies. I don't need that.
Thanks!

Sony rx 100. I did a lot of research. Actually I got the cool pix as a gift and returned it for the Sony (after the research lol).

Totally agree. I LOVE my Sony RX100. They have three versions, the original, the Mark II and Mark III. I have the original and use it more often than my APS-C mirrorless camera.
This is an extremely well-regarded camera with a 1" sensor (MUCH larger than the typical pocketable camera), which is far more important for photo quality and light capture (i.e., far less chance of blurry photos in low light situations) than megapixel count.
This is a favorite small camera for professional photographers who want to carry around something other than their full SLR kit.
It's much more expensive than your typical point and shoot, so I actually got mine as an open box from Best Buy and saved tons.

FYI, there is an open box RX100 mIII at the Westbury Best Buy right now for $599 (regular price is $799). I tested it out and it looks new and untouched and works flawlessly (any smudges on the LCD screen are from my testing it). I forced myself not to buy since my original one works perfectly well, but it's a great deal!
Also, the Mark II is $649 on costco.com right now and includes a bundle of extras.
