Recommend Your Savings Bank
We need to put money into a savings account. We need access to it for emergencies, wedding gifts and other expenses. We currently have capital one's ING and I'm not thrilled. Any recommendations?

I keep mine at Bethpage FCU. Mostly because I can do all of my remote deposits with my iphone of bonus checks, etc. but can still run to a branch if there were an emergency.

Same for me. Plus 7-11 is a BFCU partner so I can use 7-11's ATM for no fees.

Ahh. Thank you both. Can you withdraw from savings at an ATM?

Yes (and another recommendation for BFCU).

Joint is TD and rainy day and vacation is Capital one.
Honestly I'm not thrilled with TD because of all the fees but DH doesn't want to change.
What don't you like about Capital One? I find theyre pretty easy to deal with.

I'm not thrilled with ING. They limit the number of transactions you can do. It's my money I should move if where I want especially if I am moving from my capital one savings to checking.

Most banks do this.
I also think it's a good way to help you save. I know with TD I believe it's no more than 3 monthly movements from savings to checking or they charge you.
I personally don't think there's reasons to be dipping into savings that much in a month.

Ally (online only) - you can easily transfer money between your account online and another account you may have like Chase, TD etc etc. It is FDIC insured. You can use ANY ATM and will not be charged any fees at all.

That's a federal regulation on a savings account. you'll find the same at any bank.
If you find yourself transferring from savings to checking often, I'd consider a checking that earns interest. Or just limit the amount of times you transfer per month.
