Recommend your Maclaren Umbrella Stroller!

Have a 20% off coupon at BBB and am in need of a lightweight stroller. Which is the best? Volo? Quest? Triumph?

TIA!

ETA: This will be a secondary stroller to take on the subway, bus, travel, etc. Already have the Bug but is inconvenient in transit.

ETA again: How important is the recline feature?

We have a Volo and love it!! It's perfect for DD who is almost 3 and doesn't use a stroller too often.

Re: Recommend your Maclaren Umbrella Stroller!

I am also looking for a super light umbrella stroller - trying to decide between the maclaren volo and the uppa baby light one.

I thought the 20% off coupons didn't work on maclarens?

Haha well it's pretty even I guess between the three. The Volo is cheaper, but doesn't recline I don't think.

Bridex, I got one in the mail today and don't see it under the excluded brands.

Fantastic! I am sure I will get it in the mail too. Chat Icon

Personally I want to get the lightest stroller possible for the subway and bus. I currently have a city mini as our lightweight and it isn't quite light enough and doesn't have a strap. Some of the maclarens aren't that light. I guess it is relative. For me, my shoulders get tired and need something under 10 pounds.

You may also want to look into the uppa baby g-luxe. I was at a playdate recently and everyone was raving about it.

Re: Recommend your Maclaren Umbrella Stroller!

Well then the Volo is prob your best bet. It's 8 lbs, the Triumph is 11 and the Quest is 12 lbs.

Yeah, I will likely also be carrying DD in the Ergo at times, so lightest is probably the way to go. Will check out the Uppa Baby one as well.

Thanks!

Re: Recommend your Maclaren Umbrella Stroller!

We have a Volo, love it, but its our secondary stroller we use when traveling or on the subway/trains (only 11 lbs)

If I were going to be using it more on a full time basis I probably would have anted up for a Triumph since that one reclines.

I like the Quest and have successfully folded it up, put it on my shoulder, while carrying Sasha up the subway stairs.

They don't. I tried to use one for my organizer and they said they aren't valid on Maclaren products (it's not mentioned directly on the coupon though).

I have a Quest and am happy with it.

i have the Quest and I love it!

I used a BRU 20% off coupon at BBB on my Quest since there aren't any Maclaren exclusions on it!

Re: Recommend your Maclaren Umbrella Stroller!

Best for subway/bus travel Volo. Super light but no recline (good for older infants 9 months and up)

Also love the Quest but recently sold mine for a Peg Perego Si and I love that one even more. Only about 2lbs heavier than the Quest but pushes so much nicer and stands on its own when folded plus doesn't tip easily like the Maclarens and has a larger sunshade than the Quest.
