I have the 2 sided Step 2 easel. One is a magnetic side, the other is for chalk. But both have a clip to hold paper to draw on too.
It comes with magnetic foam letter/numbers too.
there is a removable tray and the easel folds flat too.

Re: Recommend your art easel for a toddler?
They used this one:Melissa and Doug for a good long while before they broke it. The chalkboard was less than adequate.. too smooth for the chalk to go on nicely - but other than that it was good.
They still have this one: Ikea which - for the money is better than the M&D one.
But mostly we tack giant sheets of paper to the walls in the room downstairs and let them go wild. Gives them more room to express themselves!

THis is the one we have too. I like that they can both clip paper up and color at the same time.
I saw it in BJs this week for $35ish I think.

They have the step 2 one at my ILs but we didn't have the floor space at our house for an easel so I did a magnetic chalkboard area for each of them on either side of the window in their room. It was less than $25 for the supplies.
