Recommend your air mattress
I'm looking to purchase a decent air mattress. We take a lot of trips with friends and kids and there aren't always enough beds for everyone. The kids usually don't mind sleeping on the floor in sleeping bags, but I would like an air mattress if it's more then a night or two. We also occasionally have out of town guests so I don't want something too cheap or thin. Please recommend a decent one that won't break the bank. I'm leaning towards Intex because of price. But I've slept on an Aerobed and it was pretty comfy. Is it worth spending more money?

Re: Recommend your air mattress
I always buy one at Target and after buying two that (a) had a hole and (b) I ended up hating, I went to amazon and tried to find a decent one price-wise with great reviews. I bought the the one at this link and I love it! It was only like $50 too! I've used it twice and it's great. Sorry I can't link, I'm on my phone.

I have 2 Intex mattresses.. Love both of them. Got the BIG ones so no sagging and hitting the floor in the middle of the night... I actually slept on one for a month and had no issues.

Re: Recommend your air mattress
I have this one and love it so much, I bought another one for my brother's house so I have something comfortable to sleep on when I visit:
Serta Never Flat
It plugs in so it stays inflated to your desired firmness. The only thing I would say (and this applies to all air mattresses) is that if you're staying somewhere cold, put a blanket under the sheet so you don't freeze.
My dog has slept on it with me and we've never had an issue.
It is a little more expensive, but worth it, in my opinion, for the comfort! A night's sleep makes a difference!

I have the aerobed with headboard from Costco. I have slept on it and our guests have used it many times and had no issues. I have the queen size and it's kind of heavy.

I love our Aerobed. We've had it about 10 years now and it's still going strong.
I had bought cheaper air mattresses prior to the Aerobed and they only lasted about a year each.

Re: Recommend your air mattress
We have the queen aerobed that plugs in. We've had it for close to 7 years and it's still in great shape. I like that it stays firm and if it starts to lose air during the night you can just push the button for a second and it firms itself right back up.
