recommend your A/C
We're looking to install an air conditioner into the wall of our living room (mid height) to help cool the downstairs of our house.
The entire 1st floor is pretty open, so it needs to be a fairly powerful one. Not one giant room, but there are no doors to close off.
Any recommendations on brands or BTU?
Also, does HD do installations like this? we'd need someone to cut through the brick exterior of our house to install it

We got ours through Sears and it's a Kenmore.
It's super powerful. 22K btu..it cools our whole downstairs pretty much.
The only thing I will warn you about is the noise. Mine is a jet plane.
Make sure it's quiet..big ones can be noisy.

I have an LG 25K BTU but it is really loud. It cools the whole downstairs of my split (kitchen, LR, DR and Den)
