Received the Ok to...
Start our first Lupron Shot tonight.... We were advised that by the time of our Retrieval our PGD lab work will be finished so we are OK to start!
I am totally excited, but nervous, but not really, I think these will be fine... its the booty needle I am really nervous about!!!
Please send some  if you have any extras!

Congrats!
Question - what are they doing ahead of time regarding PGD? I didn't do anything ahead of time - they just biopsied the embryos 3 days after retrieval.

I guess it depends on what you need to be tested for... My DH has Sickle Cell C trait, and I have Beta Thal Trait, so combined we can have a sickle cell or Beta Thal baby that can be very sick.
So they need to set up lab test for both of us, that when they do the retrieval they test "fertilized" embryos "right away" since they need to be implanted back within 5 days, to make sure that they haven't fertilized with both of these traits, having 1 trait is fine but both can mean having a sick baby.
So maybe you didn't need to have labwork set up ahead of time b/c it was only testing b/f your embroys were fertilized? I honestly dont' know, but it takes like 4-8 weeks for the lab test to be complete.
Maybe you had something different... there are so many different types of test, its amazing what they do now!!!

How awesome for your start!!
lupron and the other meds are easy. The "booty" shot is not that bad .. it took awhile to get use to it but it's definitely worth it!!! I got my BFP on friday
