I have read that window shades become a hazard if there is an accident. If you must get them use ones without suction cups that just stick to the window.

I never knew this! Even with my tinted windows the sun still comes in the window and gets in DS's eyes. Where do you get the ones that just stick to the window? I have a suction cup one.

I have one of the ones that clings directly to the window. It has a design on it (I *think* it's the precious planet design). Cost about $7.99 at BRU.

We have tinted windows too, but on a really sunny day, it's too much for DS. Now with this shade, it's perfect!
