Really bad burning

Last night and randomly I will get really bad burning in my stomach....like right in the middle below my chest/rib cage. Sometimes it burns in my throat too, so I'm thinking it's heartburn? I never had that before being pregnant so I dont know the feeling. It's like a bad pain and burn in my stomach. Scared me.

Is this normal? I'm 9 1/2 weeks.

Re: Really bad burning

Welcome to the horrible world of heartburn!!! When I had my DD, that was actually one of my first signs to me that I was PG, I had never had heartburn in my life and only get it during pregnancy.

You can chew tums, or my doc told me pepcid was ok. For a quick fix, I drink a glass of milk (tums make me sick).

Re: Really bad burning

that is definitely heartburn. I suffer with that regularly but during pregnancy it has gone away. Try some mylanta, it coats ur tummy and should make it feel better. Tums help too.

Try to stay away from acidic and spicy foods.

Thanks girls. NEVER had heartburn in my life. I feel bad for my hubby no because he always has this. DAMNNN does it hurt. Tums are ok hile pregnant? Don't like the way they taste, but I'll try it...and try the milk too.

Thanks ladies. I was scared yesterday because it felt like my insides were on fire.

yea that's heartburn.
I always have it too, even without being pregnant.

the milk works the best for me.

and yes tums are ok to take!!

and like the other girls said.... stay away from spicy foods and even carbonated beverages can sometimes bring on the heartburn too.

feel better.
