Real Estate Lawyers
Hi i am new to the board. We have been looking for a house for about a month and a half now. My real estate agent told me her real estate attorney is $1200. Does this seem high? Also, how much cheaper is your closing if you go directly through a bank instead of a mortgage broker? TIA

Welcome to the board 
That price is average, I am sure there a cheaper ones out there if you look hard enough, but I paid around the same for mine.
As far as Closing costs and saving money, there are some fees that a Mrtg Broker usually charges you, but I am not sure about at the actual closing.
Someone else might be able to better answer that.

$1200 is average / reasonable.
I would never shop for a lawyer on price alone, though.

Yeah your right, but I figure if someone else has used one, and the price is cheaper then why not  . I have heard that closing costs are around 20-25k for houses in the 400k range, so I am trying to cut that down the best and safest way possible ya know.
