Real Estate Agreement Question
A friend of mine put their house up for sale and decided that they no longer want to sell it at this present time. The contract agreement with the real estate agent expires in a couple of months so that means that they have to sell it because they are still in a bind with the real estate agent correct or not? She's having second thoughts on selling it right now and wants to know her options. Thanks!!

Re: Real Estate Agreement Question
She is not obligated to sell her house if she has a contract with an agent. If she sells during the time period of the contract with the agent she then owes them commission.

Real Estate Agreement Question
Nobody can ever make you sell your house if you change your mind. She just can't list it with a different agent during the time of her contract.

Real Estate Agreement Question
So what does she tell the agent? To void the contract?
