Reading a Sad Story on LIF

Do you go and read them all?

Sometimes if it's a link from a local paper about a sad story I don't open it. I'm pregnant and don't want to upset myself or think about the "what if's."

If someone needs prayers or a hug of course I comment.

I just notice that I get more emotional with things and some days just not in the mood to get upset.

I generally will read the comments and then decide to read or not read a story. Usually based on the comments I won't read and if said "sad story" is in the subject line I generally won't read.

Nope.....I hear enough sad stories and don't want to be brought done more.

My mom is big on repeating sad stuff and I always cut her off and won't listen.

Not necessarily.....there are some I know if I opened, my immediate reaction would be...I wish I hadnt read that.
Like there is one on the PG board right now, I wont read it bc I can guess what it says. I worry enough on my own about this baby, I dont need to be reminded of the horrible things that can happen.

With that said, if it is a story personal to a LIF member, I will generally read it, to offer my condolences. If the post says...LIFer needs our prayers or something, then I will read and respond.

I read some not others. There's no rhyme or reason to it though.

But I nearly never click on links to local papers.

Nope, I just can't read it. I get too emotional and it would ruin my day. I will comment if I have to but I can't read it.
