reaction to shots- should i call ped?
need some help from those whose DB have had reaction to shots. DD is 15 months, she got two shots yesterday morning, flu and prevnar. shes NEVER had a reaction to a shot before. she was super cranky all day, and i just noticed her arm is pretty swollen, red, and hard. about 2-3 inches- her whole shoulder, basically. it definitly was not there this morning when i got her dressed. i gave motrin and she went to bed already (didnt nap today), but should i call ped? or is this normal? no fever

Re: reaction to shots- should i call ped?
that could def. be from the flu shot....its common to have tenderness or redness at the injection sight...also to exhibit flu like symptoms...I hope she feels better soon!!

Its normal to have redness and be swollen, when I got the Flu shot my arm got a lump on it where he put the needle and it was red and itchy, only lasted 2 days then went away. No other reactions, when my kids got it they didn't have any reactions or redness.
