re-testing post-IVF and FET
i was at cornell about 2 years ago and gave birth. we were thinking about going back again for a FET and they said i would have all the 'tests' done again since it's been longer than 1 year of being there.
what tests and how does a FET cycle work from the time the tests are 'done' to the actual transfer?

First of all...you might want to go to the NY boards at www.ivfconnections.com. They have lots of ladies that are cycling at Cornell there. As far as tests, I think that you and DH will likely need to have all of the infectious disease tests for STD's and AiDS. You will also likely need a recent mammogram and Pap smear.

my RE had me and DH do our blood work again after 1 year. if we do another fresh IVF cycle, DH will need to have another SA done.

We did IVF 4 years ago that resulted in DD. When we went back all we had to do was blood work and SA. No HSG or SHG since they were fine the first time

i have frozen embies saved in storage. i would just transfer those so i'm assuming no male testing (SA) would be needed. (not sure?)
i was curious if i would have to have the water sono, all the pelvic exams, the 100 vials of blood drawn (LOL), etc.

I had to get a sonohysterogram, a phyiscal, trail of transer and pap smear (if needed)prior to my fet. No male work up is needed. Good luck!
