RE recommendation-Eastern Suffolk
I'm on my 5th clomid cycle and I think it's time to move on!
I know everyone here raves about Dr. B but it's way too far...I'm in Port Jeff.
The ones I know of out here are East Coast Fertility and RSof NY.
Any feedback good and bad would be appreciated!
Also, do any of them have some type of payment plans? Everything will be OOP.
Thanks in advance

Re: RE recommendation-Eastern Suffolk
Dr.B's is about 35/40 mins from there? I don't think that's a far commute, personally! I'm a big Dr.B fan though and would travel an hour or two if I had to!
I also used to travel about 35/40 mins to see him when I lived in Queens.

Re: RE recommendation-Eastern Suffolk
Long Island IVF has an office in Stony Brook. It's right on 347. I go there and have been happy with them so far. I'm not sure about payment plans. But I do know they have some type of grant program for IVF. Hope that helps. I'm happy to answer any questions!

Re: RE recommendation-Eastern Suffolk
I'm traveling about 30 min now to get to my Dr. and it stinks! It's not so bad to do once in a while but it sucks going that far for monitoring every 2 days!
Where on 347 is the LI IVF office? Do they have good hours and/or weekend hours?

It's in the medical park that's just west of Nichols Road. It's between Nichols and Stony Brook Rd on the right hand side.
The monitoring hours are 6:30-8:00 weekdays but on weekends you have to go to Melville. I went yesterday and it wasn't bad. They had a lot people working and I was out in less than a half hour.
I've been happy with the Dr's and the staff I've seen there. Hope that helps!

Re: RE recommendation-Eastern Suffolk
<----RSofNY They are in St. Brook. Same medical park as LI-IVF. They are open 7 days a week. Close proximity to the office is VERY important and SHOULD be close by as you will be going there OFTEN. the only time you will have to travel is if you plan on doing IVF. you will have to go to Mineola on the day of the ER and ET. They also work around your body's cycle and dont make your body's cycle work with their hours. I dont even think they are closed on christmas day.

Re: RE recommendation-Eastern Suffolk
Domino- So funny you should make that comment about RS of NY being open everyday, even Christmas Day because I was there today (5th day in a row-ugg!) and I was talking to the sono tech about hours and working weekends. She told me they are only closed one day a year, Christmas! So they are actually open 364 days a year- not bad!! I go to the Mineola office which about three minutes from work but 30 from home. I like that 5 days a week it is only 3 minutes from where I have to be. Traveling on the weekends 30 minutes each way for monitoring is a pain so I wouldn't want to do 30+ minutes everyday out of my way unless you had a very specific problem that a RE specializes in. Just my opinion. Good luck!

Re: RE recommendation-Eastern Suffolk
I go to RSofNY and I am going to do IVF next month. I go to the Stony Brook office but for the IVF I will have to go to Mineola for the ER and ET. That is ok though it is only two times.

Re: RE recommendation-Eastern Suffolk
I have all great things to say about RS of NY. I usually went to the Stony Brook office, except for my IVF procedures (those are done in Mineola). I have always dealt primarily with Dr. San Roman, but recently dealt with Dr. Halfen. I love Dr. San Roman.... but I really LOVE Dr. Halfen.
Best of luck!

If I am correct, RSONY is in the same "medical park" so either one would be great for you.
I am a two time success story of LIIVF
I have a 20 month old DD and one on the way!

i'm a fan of RSofNY. i use the west islip office, but i've been to the stony brook location too and it seems to run just as smoothly. this was probably the most professional doctor's office i've ever been through. they're great with follow-up and keeping to their schedule. it runs like a well-oiled machine with none of the crazy hour waits and i'm used to with other doctors. they're also very thorough with testing.
