They do whatever they want, as long as it serves their own purpose and needs. In reality, when they say they 'support' the families, they are lying. It's all for their own benefit, never anyone else's. They reserve the right to change their mind and the 'rules' whenever they want.

It is VERY unfair-but they do not care. I've seen it so many times. Just like they can change the terms of your contract in them military, because they can. You are at the mercy of them.
In this case, it is just unbelievable, someone doesn't have a heart.

OMG, you poor thing. I lived in a military town for a portion of my life right outside of Norfolk, VA in Virginia Beach and at that time babysat alot for the military wives as they had a ton of support groups..
This has got to be so hard for you. Do you have family here? I would buy one of those DVD camcorders and record every moment for him. I hope that he can meet her before he leaves but try to keep your self sane by trying to plan out all the beautiful moments you are going to send his way by DVD and pics and each day put her on camera for him..
I am so surprised how long he has to go for too, ugh. With an election under way maybe he will come back sooner if we make cutbacks to the war. I will say a prayer for you.
