RE: Menstrual Cycle after delivery

I delivery my DS vaginaly early December and bled for 2-3 wks. I got my 1st period 1/8 and I am still bleeding...it's been 13 days so far. My doctor said if it continues after 2 wks to call her because she'll want to see me.

Has this happened to anyone else? What could be wrong with me? One day I'm spotting, the next is heavy, then it's light...I'm all over the place

I don't know...
I bled for 6 weeks straight, but I had a c-section.
Call the dr. just to be safe

I'm going to call Friday if I'm still bleeding. She said to call after 2 wks so I'll give it another day or 2. I'm not too worried but I didn't know if anyone else experienced this.

Well I had some strange bleeding but I wouldn't call it AF. I had a c/s- didn't bleed the first week then started bleeding a little. Well the bleeding just kept going and going and going... I was finally put on BCP's at 11 weeks pp and didn't stop bleeding until 13 weeks pp My OB thinks it was my hormones all out of whack. My bleeding was similar to what you're describing- heavy to light to heavy again. I would say if you are still going at 2 weeks definately call your OB back and you might need the BCP's too. I took my last one so I'm keeping my fingers crossed my cycles come back!!

I had a C/S so I don't know if my experience is different. I had bleeding for about 2-3 weeks then it stopped for a few days but started up again. I don't think the "start up" was my period just a lull in the bleeding. I ended up getting my period at approx 5 weeks pp.

Could it be that your postpartum bleeding returned, and it is not actually your period? If you started bleeding again less than 6 weeks after giving birth I think that is probably it.
