RE in Nassau County

Looks like my next step will be to see an RE. I feel my obgyn is somewhat knowledgeable about PCOS, but would prefer to see an RE who specializes in this condition.

Can anyone recommend an RE in the Nassau County (South Shore would be better) area?

I'm not sure if there are any on the south shore. I traveled from Wantagh to Lake Sucess for Dr. Brenner.

Yes, our names are similar!

Would you mind FM his info? I think the next step is to see an RE.

What have you discussed with him in your initial visits?

I see a few of you see Dr. Brenner. Is the doctor a male/female? And are you happy with his/her services?

Re: RE in Nassau County

Dr. Brenner is a man. You should look him up on the LI IVF website and look up the practices of those you will see on http://www.sart.org/ (many statistics but good info. on the practices). I also looked up some of the research he has done, out of interest. I was happy with Dr. Brenner (see avatar!, though I was happy with him all along) and everyone in the office, especially the NP!

You may also want to meet with more than one RE to get a couple opinions. It usually takes a few weeks to get an initial appointment and you fill out a packet of information in advance, FYI.

Dr. Brenner is a male. He has 3 offices (LI IVF) throughout Long Island, Lake Success, Melville, and Port Jefferson. He has been very helpful and always returns calls when I have questions or any concerns. I think he is great and straight to the point! It took us 2 weeks to get an appt. with him, which isn't that bad! Good Luck!

Re: RE in Nassau County

Thank you so much for the info! I just checked out their website - very informative!

DH and I aren't ACTIVELY TTC just yet, but if PCOS is an issue (which it seems to be), I think going to an RE might be the better choice. Do you agree? Will Dr. Brenner see me if I am not officially TTC but want to effectively treat my PCOS so that I can start BD in the near future??

Re: RE in Nassau County

Like many of the other ladies on this board I also see Dr. Brenner and even though we haven't gotten our BFP yet, I really like it there.
