I'm so sorry that happened to you! I think I might have ended up in jail after if that was me, because I probably would have strangled both the hygenist and the dentist, of course while cursing my head off at them

What a super crappy day. That sucks!!
Take a tylenol for the bump on your head. If anything the placebo effect will make you feel better.
Let your husband sleep, I bet when he wakes up he will be more reasonable. I'm sure it was lack of sleep that made him react that way.
Most importantly find a new dentist. What an awful experience. You want the dentist to be a positive experience for Ava and that isn't going to happen with this place.

I am so sorry you had to go through that! What a horrible thing! What kind of office is that? I would not call to apologize, I probably would find a new dentist to be honest.

OMG....total nastiness from the minute you walked in...I'd be so Pis s ed. OMG. Cannot believe no one helped & this was a pediatric dentist??? They wouldn't try to help you get Ava to sit or calm her or anything? Then when a prego woman falls, no one even offers to help her up? Wow....just wow.
I guess I understand on the DH front...b/c my DH works overnights too & when he's going on a day w/o sleep he's not exactly rational/logical.
IF you do end up going back to that dentist, DEFINITELY have DH bring her.

OMG Rach...I am so sorry this all happened to you! First off, get some rest and I hope your bruises heal quickly. Secondly...get a new dentist asap!!!! I work in a dentist office and have been in the field for 10 yrs. We would NEVER treat a patient like that EVER. If you showed up late and it was going to throw off our whole schedule we may politelty ask you to reschedule but definately not over 8 min and when your car broke down. Thats horrible of them..I am so angry for the way they handled everything with you..and more importanly how cold they were to Avas feelings! I am sorry this happened. I hope the car gets gixed, you feel better and you find Ava a new dentist. FM me if you need the name of a few good dentists.

Seriously, I would call them back and say you will be visiting doctors and will be needing the name of their insurance company from them since you slipped on their floor! Seriously, you were hurt on their property, they should have been kissing your *** to try to stop a lawsuit. They wanted you to leave and have an apology so that you are assuming the blame. DO NOT DO THAT. You may find you really will have medical bills for this and it is not your dd's fault. Legally, they have to accept blame.

OMG! Im glad you are ok!!
I say F the dentist and find a new one. I would call and maybe see if you can call and talk to the Office Manager or something. Explain to them what happened
And who the H#ll charges $550 if you cancel an appt? That is crazy!!

The 1st thing I thought of was, I would have asked them to call an ambulance.
You're pregnant took a nasty spill in their office AND bumped your head.
The least they could have done was make sure you were alright.
And there is no way I would step foot back in that place.

Thank you to everyone who responded.
My husband just woke up and I had a talk with him about how upset I was that he didn't seem bothered by how nasty they were to me today and he said it absolutely did bother him and that he was sorry if it seemed like he wasn't. He said he'd look for a new dentist tomorrow for Ava. Ugg. What a day. It was honestly the last thing I needed.
I feel my little man moving around right now, so he's good in there, thank god. I'm sore and bruised, but I'm ok, thank god for that, too.
Thanks again for the responses It really helped to put it all out there.

OMG that is the worst story ever - I am so sorry you went through that!!! Please either post or FM the dentist office. We are going through the selection process now for DD and I don't want that one!!!! I can't believe they charge that much for a cancelled apt and weren't more understanding...

That is absolutly horrible!! I work for a Dentist as a Dental Asst we would never ever treat a patient like that especially a child. My office goes over and beyond to help we even watch babies if the mom could not get a sitter FM if you want the info to my office
