RE help please...
After going for the HSG this week, my dr wants me to try one more round of IUI before going to a RE. He referred me to either Dr Braverman, who I know you all rave about, and Dr Sung, who I haven't heard much about (not that that is a bad thing). I am curious about both of them. Not who is "better" of course, but more interested in the actual practices and their hours and stuff like that. Do they have early morning hours, like could I go in beofre work for monitoring and stuff? Are they in on Sundays? I am trying to get some info before I make an appt with either of them. Who knows, maybe I will get lucky with a BFP this month and go to neither???!!!

Re: RE help please...
I've only been with Braverman for a little over a month- I have only had hours during "working" hours- like around 9.30 am and then early afternoon.
I'm not sure how early they are open as monitoring hours weren't really a factor for me.
What I really like about Braverman is that he is hands on- he does all the sonograms and monitoring- he is the one that calls you with results- coming from an environment that it was pulling teeth to talk to the doctor, this was very refreshing to me!

Re: RE help please...
I was a 2 time success story w/ RSOFNY with whom Dr.Sung is affiliated with- I had never met her before my transfer ( my DD) because she is primarily in their Mineola office I believe....She was very sweet, professional and steered me in the right direction with my transfer ( we were originally transferring 2 embies and she gave me her professional opinion to only trans 1 because of OHSS and I eternally thank her for that) I can only comment on their Stony Brook office and say that their hours were always very accomodating, there super early and I have been there on Sundays numerous times...Good Luck

Re: RE help please...
I too have very nice things to say about Dr. Sung. She was funny, sweet, professional and educational. She did my last transfer (successful) and she was the first RE at RSofNY that actually explained everything she was doing during the transfer on the screen. I have been 90% happy with RSofNY. My regular doctor was Dr. Stelling and mainly went to the St. Brook and W. Islip offices but know that they have early monitoring hours in Mineola as well. FM if you have any more questions.

Re: RE help please...
I am another RSNY success story. I only met Dr. Sung once (on the day of my transfer), but she was wonderful. VERY personable - I liked her a lot.
I mostly went to the West Islip and Stonybrook offices (and my doctor was Dr. Stelling). I have been to the Mineola office a few times and I think their first appointment during the week is 6:30am. I'm not sure about what time they start on the weekends.
RSNY is a big practice and while Dr. Sung may end up being your primary doctor, you will likely see other doctors as well. They are all terrific though. I can't say enough nice things about them. My experience was positive even before I got my BFP (so I am not entirely biased). Good luck.

Re: RE help please...
I'm another RSNY patient. Although Dr Sung is not my RE per se, I have seen her several times during this IVF cycle and she's the one who did my iVF retrieval the other day. I have nothing but positive feelings for her As mentioned before, it is a large practice with several offices. Who you see the most will depend on which office you use for monitoring. All procedures are done in Mineola, so you may see any of the ERs for them. Good luck
