Buy the book Baby Bargains, you can order it on Amazon or get it at any bookstore. It's a godsend on ratings and reviews for baby gear. They should call it the baby gear bible.

I also suggest Baby Bargains. It really helped. You can log onto their chat boards and see what people are saying as well. It's babybargains.com and then you click on chat (or something like that).
