Random question - how does a tax refund work for having a child?
Is there a standard amt you get back per child? Curious how that works?

Hey Jessee not sure this helps but I found it on the IRS site:

Apparently it's up to $1000 per child but there are (of course) exceptions based on income and stuff like that.

You should get the child tax credit which is $1000 per child plus you get 1 exemption per child.
The exact amount you willget is different for everyone depending on income & others things.....
