I do know the programme, but its not something that I would watch! I think its a bit like Footballers Wives...but it has some good guest stars. I say tape it...and see if you like it. Not my thing really.

How can I get BBC America? I'm pretty sure it's not on offer from Cablevision.

We have Directv. Verizon Fios also carries it. Everytime Cablevision calls me to get me to switch I tell them I won't consider it until they carry BBC America. I got hooked on it when we had Time Warner cable in Queens. Chat Icon

I think it is but you have to get it as part of a package Chat Icon I have Dish Network, but the cablevision people have been to my house twice trying to get us to change and it's def in one of their packages - they are the smae as optimum online right?

Too much! When I first signed up for Cablevision, there was a package for unlimited calling to Europe for $19.99 a month. A short time after that, they changed it to $19.99 for 60 minutes, which I use on one call. I've tried so many different options over the years and I just can't avoid the huge monthly billChat Icon

Try this www.pingo.com It's 2cents a minute to the UK - my mom puts about $20 on it and it lasts for a couple of months at a time. You can set up your home phone as the primary caller and you dont' have to input the account number/pin, and then put the number you call in most as a speed dial, so eventually you really only have to dial the main number.

Racheeeee - what do you use? We use Ratebusters and its 1p a minute

To the OP - sorry for the hijack! But I've never seen Hotel Babylon.

I was supposed to be setting up internet at home through Orange (been sidetracked by the wireless router, etc is corn-fusing the heck out of me!) and they offered free long distance to two countries of your choice, which we thought was a good deal. I guess they figure if you have internet you can just skype, so why would you pay for long distance...

Pingo's great - it's a virtual calling card, you just top it up online.

No, we only get BBC America, and they don't seem to have any of the kids programming. BBC America website

Although we seem to get some BBC content on Noggin, little 5 minute things in between the shows that have a little kid cooking (Luis I think his name is) and now 2 kids doing little gardening projects.

Yes, sorry for the hijack, but I'm definitely going to check out Pingo. I am also going to try Skype with my friends (I have to get the special phone), but my parents would have no clue. Thanks ladies.Chat Icon
