quilt washing question?

I bought a new quilt for our bed today & it says dry clean. I have 2 dogs so it needs to be something I can wash on a regular basis. Do you think I could wash it or should I rtn it? Its 100% Cotton Sateen (sp) with polyester fill. TIA!!

Re: quilt washing question?

I wash ours on delicate and hang it to dry- I will check and see if it says dry clean only- the only bad thing is we get a lot of strings hanging off it after we wash it
