quick sharp pinch pain when..

Hi...13 weeks.. this morning when I stretched my right lower belly, under the bellybotton, above the pubic line pinched sharply, I stopped stretching and massaged it and it went away. This has happened a couple of times since pregnant by stretching, laughing hard, sneezing hard..

I forgot to ask dr when I saw him monday but thats because its happened only a handful of times. On monday we heard heartbeat, he felt my stomach for literally a second, peed in a cup and took blood pressure, everything was good, a week or so ago I had my 12 week sonogram (nt) and everything was good. So I guess everything is fine, but I always worry that I am hurting the baby/ something inside when it pinches like that?

Does it almost feel like a rubber band snapping on the inside? If so, I used to get the same thing. I asked my OB about it and he said it ws ligament spasms from all the growing/stretching and that it is totally normal and completely harmless. HTH!

I get that too if I stretch, or sneeze, I had it with my other 2 pregnancy's so i'm sure its nothing to worry about!

I get it too, mostly when turning over or stretching in bed at night...

i was told it's the ligaments and it's normal

Hurts like HE*L though right????

That sounds exactly like Round Ligament Pain. Almost everyone gets it; don't worry. Your stomach is stretching faster than your ligaments, so when you do something that makes your stomach muscles stretch more (sneeze, jump up quickly off the couch) your ligament there can't keep up and it hurts. It's totally normal, and has everything to do with your stomach muscles and nothing to do with your baby (it's fine and cushy in there!).
