Re: Quick question MILK
My ped said no more than 20oz a day so we gave 3 bottles with 6-7oz in each. She still gets about that much at almost 17 months.

Re: Quick question MILK
I think each person/ped might give a diferent range. I feel like I've heard most people say anywhere from 16-25 oz a day.
When we transitioned DD to milk she was getting (and still gets) three 6 oz bottles/cups a day.

Re: Quick question MILK
My ped says no more than 16-18oz a day because he wants to make sure he's eating plenty of food. He's 15 months.

Re: Quick question MILK
Yeah I was giving DS 24oz (8oz in 3 bottles) but I kinda slowed that down after getting rid of the daytime bottles. Now he gets about 16-18oz. Maybe 5-6oz in his 2 sippys and 8oz in a bottle before bed.

Re: Quick question MILK
At the 12 month visit, my ped said DD shouldn't be having more than 20 ounces.

That's the thing, it can hurt them.
Too much calcium can interfere with iron absorption. Anemia is serious in babies.
