Quick help---lighting, HELP!
DH is putting a chandelier into DD's room today...originally I was thinking of putting a few recessed lights in her room as well. Now I'm not sure, maybe just leave it as JUST the chandelier only?
I can't decide...stick with the original plan of chandelier and 4 recessed lights? DH has a friend helping him today and of course just now I'm really thinking about and not sure...
HELP!

Re: Quick help---lighting, HELP!
I think in a bedroom, it's nice to have an overhead light in case you need it, but you don't need that much, as you don't typically want bedrooms to be TOO light. Even if there is an overhead light, a lot of people just prefer soft lamp lighting in a bedroom. We added two recessed lights to our master bedroom when we moved in, but I think we more often use the lamps on our nightstands.
If the chandelier has a lighting element, as opposed to being purely decorative, then I would just stick with the chandelier lighting for a standard size child's bedroom. In both my son's room, and our guest room/office, I have ceiling fans with a lighting element. And then of course lamp lighting, and it's more than adequate.
If the chandelier is just decorative, then I would add the recessed lights (on dimmers if possible). But if the chandelier is a light (which from your post, I think it is), then the recessed lights would be unnecessary overkill, imo.

Thank you thank you SO much!
