Quick Dutch Wonderland question
Planning a trip for the summer.
Which time do you think would be busier?
Please answer my poll and add any comments.
We are basically debating a weekend before the end of school v. one of the first Mondays in July.

We went during the week in June last year & it was perfect! The weather was warm, but not hot & there were no lines. If you can, I'd definitely try to go before school is out.

The water area was open when we were there. I just checked and we went on 6/13.

We did sesame the first week of June last year during the week and it was empty. Doing Dutch this year but wanna see Thomas so can't do the before school gets out thing again unfortunately.

We went the week of June 13th last year, and yes, the water park was open.
I think DW would be more crowded July 2nd. Schools are out of session and it's before summer camps start, so a lot of families go away on vacation then.
If you go early June, the water park will be open, but it might be a bit chilly to go swimming.

We went opening weekend on a Sunday last year and it wasn't crowded. I think Monday of a Holiday week will be more crowded than the first weekend in June.

Definitely July.
In fact, if you are thinking about that date, you should book something now. We are going for a few days, and when I was looking a couple of weeks ago, June 30th-July 2nd was already booked in the places I wanted to stay.
