Questions for exclusive pumpers

How much does your milk supply fluctuate throughout the day? I usually pump 8-12 ounces in the morning and then its downhill from there. It's normal right?

for me, it just depends on how often I pump. If I pump every 3 hrs, I get 6ozs. If I go more like 5, I get 8ozs. I've never gone more than 5hrs. But it doesn't change throughout the day.

Thanks for responding. I usually try and pump every 3-4 hours. By the afternoon/evening, I'm getting like 5oz. I'm not sure why it drops.

Totally normal. Usually you get the most milk during your first pump in the morning. I used to get 10 - 11 oz in the first pump and then drop to 5 - 6 oz per pump the rest of the day. If I didn't eat or drink enough, I would drop to 4 oz during some sessions.

I've made it to a year (as of September 13th) and DD's got enough milk in the deep freeze to last her until she's 13 or 14 months Chat Icon
