Questions about napping at almost 2 years old....
My dd has been fighting naps in the crib for the last few months. She will be really tired, but just refuse the nap. We have let her cry, but usually she gets so upset and after 45 minutes or so we take her out.... Are we doing something wrong? Do some kids just stop napping at 2? She is clearly tired and will fall asleep in the car seat... Sometimes on us... What can I do to get her to nap in her crib?

I had a very similar question but didn't get many responses on here.
21m DS has been fighting his naps big time! I am hoping it is just a phase.

AJ's just sort of changed.
It went from noon nap happily to whenever she collapses *shrug*
She still naps (2yr old) but its when she wants and if she does nap it can be 45min to 2hrs.
Oddly enough at school tho she naps religiously at noon for 2hrs. go fig

Re: Questions about napping at almost 2 years old....
There are some days my DC (just turned 2) will fall asleep for a nap right away, there are other days they will take 2 hours to fall asleep, then there are other days when they don't nap. I don't really know why each day is different, I just take it as it comes.

Do you guys just let them stay up when they don't want to sleep?
DS is the same way. Some days he falls asleep right away and other days he will want to play and absolutely refuses to go down. We've been trying to force him and then everyone gets upset.

We have given up forcing her to sleep.... I was going to try just putting her in her crib and seeing what she does... And just make her stay in there for a certain amount of time....
