Question: Settle a a debate
So a few years ago I did an event where U2's Bono was the key speaker. Coinsidentally the week leading into the event, he was on the cover of NY Times Sunday Magazine.
Sidebar: he is the SWEETEST, most wonderful man you could ever meet. I asked him if he needed anything to drink and he brought ME a beer.
Anyway,......I had him sign the cover of the magazine, along with having him sign the invitation to the event (his picture was on it) It was a world hunger event, not a concert
I am getting them both framed together. And my DH thinks they will be worth nothing someday. I am thinking they could be work $$$$$$$$$
What do you think?

Re: Question: Settle a a debate
It seems the only issue to me would be proving authenticity?
That is WAAAAAAAAAAY cool, by the way!

Re: Question: Settle a a debate
To a hard core Bono / U2 fan... that would be priceless, so to answer your question, you have gold in your hands.

An old coworker of mine would prob pay good money for that, she LIVES for him.
So I'd definitely say you have gold as well! That is awesome!

Re: Question: Settle a a debate
i definitely think it's worth something...even right now. you could always pay to get the signature certified as authentic if you choose to sell it one day (if you don't have a pic of him signing it)

Re: Question: Settle a a debate
It would be worth a lot to ME personally, but I don't know what kind of money it would draw if you tried to sell it.
I bought my brother an original, signed picture of Bono (with a valid certificate of authenticity) off of Ebay for $10 a few years ago.
I'm obsessed with U2 and Bono, though, so it'd be pricess to me.
I think things like autographed guitars, etc. tend to be worth more than just autographs... I wonder how one goes about getting a certificate of authenticity, though. I'd look into that just in case. Hey, you never know!
(Then again, if it were me, I'd never be able to part with it. )

Re: Question: Settle a a debate
definitely get both framed together, and on the back of the frame, write the whole story (Date, where you were, and the context).
I don't think it will be worth THOUSANDS, but definitely hundreds

Re: Question: Settle a a debate
Any signed memorabilia is worth money, as long as you have an audience who wants to buy it!
Good girl for getting it framed!
